Inclusive Ballet Research Project

GDance has engaged researcher Jurg Koch to explore an approach to ballet training that better enables inclusion of disabled dancers. Studio research to date has been conducted with professional dancers as well as with primary aged ballet students. We are currently producing online resources to support dance teachers and to advocate for inclusive practice in ballet.

The project aligns with a recent Government-led drive to improve disabled dancers’ access to dance and its examination frameworks. Click here to read the Guardian article which instigated Government interest.
